The SDC Architecture
One firm. Three interlocking layers.
SDC is not a program, a school, or a platform. It is a research and advisory firm whose intellectual output is deployed through a proprietary technology infrastructure and applied through scalable innovation drives.
Layer 01
The Research & Advisory Firm
The parent institution. Develops original venture-building frameworks, models, and applied knowledge from the African context. Everything originates here.
The proprietary operating platform through which all SDC frameworks are deployed globally. Fully remote — any individual, anywhere, can access SDC's knowledge.
A comprehensive look at who is building, where, and why, drawn from a sample of 1,833 founders across 47 countries engaging with SDC's Innovation Drives. The report finds that 60% of founders are at the idea stage, that funding is cited by only 7% as their primary need, and that 95% are first-time startup school participants — evidence that SDC is creating the founder pipeline, not capturing an existing one.
We believe venture building without research is gambling, and research without application is academic vanity. Our methodology ensures data is converted into actionable playbooks.
